Common Questions
Our Erosion Socks are tubular mesh sleeves filled with wood chips, and are used as a temporary erosion and sediment control measure. They are placed along slopes, around storm drains, or at the perimeter of construction sites to slow water runoff, reduce soil erosion, and capture sediment before it enters waterways. By allowing water to flow through while trapping soil particles, erosion socks help prevent pollution, promote infiltration, and protect nearby landscapes. They are commonly used in construction, roadwork, landscaping, and environmental restoration projects and can be left in place to decompose naturally or removed after stabilization is achieved.
